The Perfectionist originates from the observation of an everyday action by the artist. During his stay in Prague he realized that one of his colleagues with whom he shared the apartment, after dinner, always peeled a tangerine in a peculiar and unusual way: without letting the peel break, always resulting in the creation of a continuous and spiral element. The result of the action was certainly curious, but what attracted the most was the experience of seeing such a phenomenon. It became almost a routine, where the artist's gaze was abstracted at that moment from everything else, where he captured and concentrated on that everyday action in the expectation that something would happen: the peel would eventually break or the person would succeed, ending the activity with all its preciousness and perfectionism. It was from the day-to-day coexistence that the idea for the performance emerged. In this, the figure appears sitting in front of a table and, just like at dinner time, peels tangerines without breaking them, in perfect spirals, in a continuous repetition of the gesture. The action would continue almost mechanically until the failure, the breaking of  the orange peel. It is about creating an expectation of failure, of carrying an action into the field ot the metaphor of everyday experiences.
